About
Built by people who've spent careers helping experts communicate.
Where it came from
Where it came from
Decodefy started with a question Jon had been asking for twenty years: why do some experts communicate brilliantly and others - equally knowledgeable, equally skilled - struggle to get any of it out?
The answer wasn't intelligence. It wasn't knowledge. It was architecture. The way an expert constructs an argument, builds a case, earns a reader's trust - that's a learnable, replicable process. Most people just never get taught it.
When AI writing tools started emerging, Jon saw the same problem at scale. The tools were producing fluent, grammatically correct, completely generic content. Not because the AI was bad. Because nobody had built the thinking layer that sits above the writing.
207 iterations later, that thinking layer exists. It's called the AEC Fractal Framework®. And it's the reason Decodefy produces output that doesn't read like AI.
Jon
Co-founder - The Voice Behind the Framework
Jon has spent twenty years in copywriting, brand strategy, and business communication - working with everyone from sole traders to national brands. His particular obsession has always been the gap between what an expert knows and what they're able to communicate.
He leads the thinking behind the Master Brand Compass sessions - the framework that every setup is built on.
The AEC Fractal Framework® is his. Two years of development, 207 iterations, built on the study of how expert human copywriters actually think before they write. It's the thing that makes the output different.
He's also the person who'll tell you honestly if Decodefy isn't right for your business. He'd rather lose a sale than take on a client who won't get value from the system.
James
Co-founder - The Architect
James built Decodefy. Not the concept - the actual system. The technical architecture that takes Jon's framework and makes it work at scale, consistently, for every client.
He built it modular and AI-agnostic from day one. Not locked to any single model or provider. When something better comes along in the AI landscape - and it will - he assesses it, tests it, and integrates it if it improves the output. The AEC Fractal Framework® sits above the AI layer. The models change. The thinking architecture doesn't.
He's also the person who builds each client's personal Decodefy setup - the voice foundation, the business knowledge, the sector context. It's not automated. It's built by hand, specifically for each client, in the two to three days after the Master Brand Compass session.
James is also dyslexic. He built a system that removes the barrier between expertise and expression partly because he understands that barrier from the inside.
Julie
Client Success - The Human Layer
Julie helps shape the onboarding and training experience that supports every client as the system grows.
The human layer begins with a proper Compass conversation, continues with live training and a practical guide library, and is backed by tracked support answered by people who know the system.
Systems protect the human parts. They mean questions are logged and followed through, while the team can focus its time on the conversations and judgement that cannot be automated.
The honest version
Decodefy is a small, deliberately small business. We don't take on every client who wants to join. We take on the clients we know we can get results for.
If it's not the right fit - if the business isn't the right type, if the person isn't willing to do the session properly, if the expectations aren't realistic - we'll say so. We'd rather lose a sale than take on a client who won't get value from the system.
That's also why the clients we do take on tend to stay. The fit is right from the start.
